Prof. Dr. Imren Hatay Patir get a degree of BSc, MSc and PhD from Selcuk University on the 2003, 2005 and 2010, respectively. She was working as research assistant during her MSc and PhD education. She finished PhD Domestic-International Integrated Doctorate Scholarship Program (TÜBİTAK 2212) at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland / Lausanne in the Laboratory of Physical and Analytical Electrochemistry Laboratory (LEPA). under supervision of Hubert Girault between 2008-2009. After the PhD she joined EPFL-LEPA as a post-doctoral between 2010-2011 in the subject of hydrogen evolution reaction at liquid/liquid interfaces. After the post-doctoral research, she back in the Turkey and received Associate Prof. Dr. on 2013. Since she has prepared projects for the establishment of a research laboratory where studies can be carried out on this subject, which are included COST, Turkish Academy of Sciences, The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, and for the training of graduate and doctoral students in the subjects of “Liquid-Liquid Interface Electrochemistry” and “Hydrogen Production”. The research interests of her are photocatalytic, photoelectrochemical and electrochemical energy conversion applications such as oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). In addition, their liquid/liquid interfaces applications can be carried out in her laboratory. She has 50+ research articles in the high impact factor journal.
